Defence
Several major defence systems are based on the Crimson software solution, whose groundbreaking capabilities offer a significant added value: a highly intuitive User eXperience for quick appropriation, which is essential given the turnover within the various joint warfare services; and adaptability to allow seamless interoperation with heterogeneous and legacy third-party information systems.
Also worth mentioning is the ability to easily acquire the sofware via the French purchasing platform Ouranos launched by the Joint Directorate of Intrastructure Networks and Information Systems (DIRISI) of the French Armed Forces.
Civil Security
Civil security is at the heart of Crimson's DNA. For several years now, CS GROUP has been working alongside the New Technology Pole (PôNT) of Valabre to endow operational and institutional stakeholders with a global and shared operating solution.
Presently, over 50 French Fire and Rescue Department Services (so-called SDIS), from the Île-de-France to Saint-Barthélémy, via Corsica, have adopted Crimson Tactic to conduct emergency operations (such as wildfires, floodings, or even the earthquake at Le Teil or COVID pandemic). The French operational centre for interministerial crisis (COGIC), the zonal operational centres (French "COZ") of the 7 defense and security administrations as well as those of the French West Indies, Guiana and the Indian Ocean also use Crimson Tactic to monitor all major operations and coordinate the allocated national means.
This rollout among the various civil security actors, in France and overseas, fits into the 4.0 digitisation process of the operational management and command tools.
Industry
The Crimson solution is a unique Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) platform for industrial sites, which integrates the technical supervision of systems as well as the monitoring and management of manufacturing, maintenance and surveillance operations.
Plant sites known as "Operators of Vital Importance" (OIV), in particular SEVESO sites, play a critical role in national security in terms of protection against safety risks (natural, technological, health-related…) and security risks (terrorism, sabotage, etc.). The new European REC Directive (2022/2557) requires them to take appropriate and proportionate technical, security and organisational measures to ensure their resilience in the event of a crisis.
The Crimson solution offers a well-adapted tool to prevent incidents from occurring, respond to, resist and mitigate the consequences of incidents.
R&D
★ Already adopted by more than 30 H2020 and Horizon Europe projects ★
Conceived and prototyped since 2005, as part of the eponymous R&D European project co-funded by the European Commission, Crimson has since become the reference research platform in Europe to develop and evaluate tomorrow's solutions aimed at protecting the populations, environment, infrastructures and public spaces, as well as first responders mobilised to handle different types of incidents.Today, a wide array of European projects use the Crimson solution on a day-to-day basis alongside many end users: police forces and special units, fire services, rescue organisations, medical teams, etc. With the backing of its users, these projets help maintain Crimson at the forefront of technological innovation, efficiency and usability.
