Crimson SENTINEL has been selected by the FRODDO Horizon Europe project to create safer, smarter, and more adaptable transportation systems that address the challenges of increasingly complex road environments—particularly in dense urban areas. Crimson SENTINEL will be utilized and further developed by FRODDO’s partners to monitor and orchestrate traffic involving autonomous vehicles and transportation infrastructure, while ensuring user safety and effectively managing potential incidents.
Led by ERTICO, a public-private partnership organization with nearly 120 members spanning eight sectors of the Intelligent Transport Systems and Smart Mobility ecosystem, the FRODDO project brings together leading universities, research institutes, and industry players committed to innovation in automated mobility. This world-class consortium envisions a future where automated and connected vehicles are seamlessly integrated into everyday life. Its mission is to build robust, safe, and secure mobility systems that can adapt to rapidly evolving technological, physical, and societal landscapes.
The project’s vision is rooted in adaptability—ensuring that automated vehicles can safely navigate any road or environmental condition.
